Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best known for playing in the popular TV show Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. His passion for acting started during his college years. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he worked in TV and film but his performances on the small screen were what earned him popularity. He can play both characters from the side of the police as well as the other. This is the reason that is what makes him so famous. The first show he worked on was a TV serial and later, he played a detective for the NYPD. He's been nominated numerous times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his small screen performance. The most appealing feature of his face is believed to be his piercing blue eyes that are regarded to be his trademark. They help in portraying the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. He was named on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
